The members of the Find an Expert II jury continued their work virtually over the summer, under the co-chairmanship of Katrin Seidel and Guido Alpa. They then met face-to-face on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September 2023 in Luxembourg.
Thierry Hoscheit, member of the Luxembourg Court of Cassation, welcomed the eight European members for two days of intense work behind closed doors, dedicated to deliberations.
The members of the jury continued the work begun on 3 June 2023 after the consensus conference.
During the consensus conference on 2 June at Cologne’s Higher Regional Court, the jury was able to attend the presentations of work packages 2 and 3, as well as the public debate on the various topics.
The jury is independent of the project’s organising committee. Its role is of the utmost importance, since it must, at the end of a long development process, formalise the recommendations on which a consensus has been obtained. Based on the various conclusions reached by the working groups, its task is to indicate which points or subjects should be adopted, rejected or amended, after resolving any controversies that may have arisen within or between the groups.
