The EEEI provides a forum for the researchers and practitioners who have a vested interest in the modernization of the legal and justice systems.
The Institute offers all the relevant stakeholders:

  • A think-tank on the future and harmonization of judicial expertise in Europe,
  • A publication of the Institute’s program and regular reports on its work,
  • A forum for discussion and interdisciplinary research on the various aspects of expertise,
  • A European databank on expertise,
  • A pole of excellence for a comparative reflection on expert training complements existing measures with high.

The EEEI can be working through projects that are instigated by the European Commission or projects that are set up by the Institute itself.

The EEEI is working mainly in Europe. Members and stakeholders are mainly European citizens and organizations. If relevant, other than Europeans may be involved.

To achieve the above goals, we process personal data.

Which personal data we process

When you are:

  • applying for personal membership,
  • the contact person of an institutional member of the EEEI,
  • a member of any organ of the Association,
  • a member of any Working Group or Commission during the performance of any project,
  • you are interviewed or in any other way involved in the work of the Institute,

We process your:

  • Name
  • Address
  • E-mail
  • Telephone
  • Date of birth
  • Profession and education

When you are an individual member, we also process your:

  • Bank account

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your:

  • Name
  • E-mail

For this processing, Standard Contractual Clauses are in place.

When you register for a symposium, colloquium, conference, or any other event, we process your:

  • Name
  • Address
  • E-mail
  • Profession and education
  • Bank account

How we obtain your personal data

The EEEI actively seeks for persons who may be relevant to the work of the Institute. We use public sources as well as the existing network. The Institute regularly receives names and professional information of persons that might be of interest for the work of the Institute. We then contact you. If you are not interested, we no longer process your personal data.
All personal data we process we receive from you.

How we share your personal data

When you are an individual member of the Institute, we publish the below data at the Expert Directory at the website, or any other media we publish the Expert Directory:

  • Name
  • Address
  • E-mail
  • Telephone
  • Date of birth
  • Profession and education

When you are:

  • the contact person of an institutional member of the EEEI,
  • a member of any formal organ of the Institute,
  • a member of any Working Group or Commission during the performance of any project,
  • you are interviewed or in any other way involved in the work of the Institute,

we publish personal data in any printed or digitally setup documents produced in the cause of the work of the Institute, only so far as publishing personal data is relevant for that particular publication.

When you are in any way related with the Institute, we register your name for our Newsletter. We also share your personal data between the members of any organ of the Institute, only for as far as it is relevant to be shared.

In order to obtain our goals, we may share your name, professional data and contact details within the Institutes network upon request or at our own initiative. The guiding principle is professional exchange.

Automated decision-making and profiling

The Institute does not solely use any form of automated decision-making or profiling to make any decision.

Retention of data

The Institute stores personal data no longer than is needed for administrative purposes.
When you end your Individual Membership with the Institute, we remove your personal data from the Expert Register. The EEEI cannot undo previous publications which are no longer under our influence.
When you are no longer the contact person for an Institutional member, we remove your personal data and replace it with your successor’s personal data.
The Institute cannot undo the publication of any Personal data that is published in any document that was handed over to any contracting authority, client or any other third party.

The Newsletter offers the possibility of removing your address from it.

Technical and organizational measures, Storage

The EEEI has suitable and specific measures to safeguard any personal data. The Institute stores data only within the European Union.
