The responses to the 2024 questionnaire on the EEEI website identified several priority areas for improvement:

  • Facilitate information retrieval;
  • Improve the content and presentation of the membership directory;
  • Improve accessibility.

Specifications covering these three aspects were submitted to our service provider. The various improvements implemented are detailed below.

General ergonomics

A slider (known as a slideshow or carousel) has been placed on the home page to highlight key EEEI information and messages.

The menu structure has been modified for greater clarity. The eeei price is now listed in a special section.

Search filters for event type and country have been added to the event page.

The site map showing the list of pages, articles, and events is accessible in the footer.

Member directory

The directory lists the institutional members (55 as of 1 December 2025) and individual members of the EEEI (239 as of 1 December 2025). Search filters have been implemented to facilitate access.

The category of individual members is specified according to whether they are magistrates, solicitors, experts or academics. For experts, the areas of expertise are those indicated by the expert, according to the nomenclature used in their country. In order to harmonise the different national practices, we have added a speciality field, according to the Findex nomenclature, which allows for more precise filtering.

Institutional members may provide contact details for a representative, as well as a website address or their social media accounts.

Website accessibility

An accessibility assessment was carried out in accordance with WCAG and RGAA standards. Several areas for improvement were identified, leading to a series of modifications:

  • Increased font size for improved readability.
  • Modification of contrasts to improve visibility.
  • Verification and improvement of keyboard navigation for ease of use.
  • Form improvements
  • Creation of a site map page to improve navigation.
  • Creation of an accessibility page to explain the efforts made.

These changes are intended to improve understanding of our objectives and our work. Please don’t hesitate to send us any comments or suggestions that may help us improve our website.
