As part of the VR-DigiJust project, several “conferences of practice” are currently being held in Europe: in Italy, Greece, Germany, and France. The aim of these conferences is to create a dialogue between practitioners of criminal procedure in Europe, and lead them to identify together the difficulties they encounter, and the training needs that could meet them. For our country, twinned for the occasion with neighbouring Belgium, this conference was held on April 27 at the National Chamber of Commissioners of Justice in Paris. About twenty magistrates, lawyers, notaries, clerks, bailiffs, and experts were thus able to compare their experiences in the handling of European cooperation instruments in criminal matters, and discuss possible ways to train those involved in these procedures to make better use of them. These exchanges were instructive.

The next stage of the project will consist in drawing from these different meetings the material to feed the catalogue of future training courses that will be offered through the network currently being set up
