This interactive platform is equipped with specialized avatars capable, thanks to extensive use of artificial intelligence, of answering the most varied and ‘cutting-edge’ legal questions raised by legal professionals in the course of their cases. It is the central result of the VR-DigiJust project, in which our institute has been involved for two years.
The virtual academy meets the needs of stakeholders, prosecutors, judges, and lawyers need a compass in the complexities of EU instruments, tools, procedures and competent authorities to define a coherent strategy for each specific case.
It contains a large number of documents: European directives, national laws, decrees, procedures and court rulings.
The training program is based on blended learning methods including virtual reality training sessions, synchronous and a-synchronous online learning, and traditional classroom lessons using avatar, role-playing and mutual training strategies. Evaluation questionnaires will be distributed before and after training.
The VR-Digijust project will contribute to the effective and coherent application of specific EU cooperation instruments at State level, through a decentralized cross-border and interprofessional training strategy in line with Council conclusions 6926/211.
At the heart of VR-DigiJust is the impact of new technologies, first and foremost on the work of regional public prosecutors and their staff, magistrates, and lawyers.
The project is co-financed by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers, and coordinated by Agenfor International (Italy), in partnership with:

This consortium brings together stakeholders with diverse levels of expertise and wide-ranging networks.
On 22 January 2025, a practical session was organised on the premises of the Chambre Nationale des Commissaires de Justice. A panel of judicial commissioners and experts were able to test the platform. At the end of this exploratory session, each group provided feedback that will enable the design team to further develop the academy.
